  • Possess and maintain basic industry knowledge and familiarity with industry situations/issues
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Oversee own workload effectively whilst working with a number of clients/projects, keeping the project team informed of progress
  • Demonstrate an ability to take accurate briefings on project tasks and effectively deliver on those tasks
  • Ensure quality control for own work
  • Accurately complete timesheets on a daily basis
  • Exhibit willingness to travel

Medical writing/Editorial

  • Support in the role of both Writer and Editor , under the support and guidance of more senior team members
  • Demonstrate an ability to research and write copy for a wide range of materials, to both the highest scientific and grammatical standards
  • Demonstrate an ability to edit and review copy, for a wide range of therapy areas, to the highest editorial standard
  • Ensure all work follows InterComm’s internal procedures and is aligned to house style, unless otherwise advised in the project brief
  • Ensure all materials go through InterComm’s internal review and approval procedures at the appropriate time points during project development
  • Produce content that is aligned to the client brief, delivered on time and within budget, and ensure any variances are highlighted to the project team
  • Appropriately tailor language and writing style to that of the target audience and delivery format
  • Work in collaboration with the project team to develop engaging and visually impactful materials, in a variety of styles and formats
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with project team members
  • Accurately interpret and incorporate client and third party comments and amendments
  • Demonstrate awareness and build knowledge across multiple therapy areas
  • Develop a growing understanding of key industry regulations (e.g. ABPI, EFPIA and MedTech)

Client service

  • Play a role in client liaison, as required, with support from appropriate team members
  • Develop and maintain good client relationships to ensure retention and growth of business
  • Develop an understanding of the medical and marketing issues relating to the client, product and therapy area

Business development

  • Support the wider team in developing new business opportunities
  • Develop an awareness of current industry news and advances through pharmaceutical and scientific literature
