They manage thousands of projects varying in complexity on behalf of their FTSE 100 clients and strive to consistently provide a first class service in accordance with their ISO 9001 accreditation standards.This is a 3 month internship based in the City of London, with a salary of £17,000 pro rata.

What does the company do?
Our client is a global language service provider with its HQ located in the City of London. They manage thousands of projects varying in complexity on behalf of their FTSE 100 clients and strive to consistently provide a first class service in accordance with their ISO 9001 accreditation standards. They are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team for a 3 month internship. This role is ideal for a Translations student or graduate seeking invaluable experience and training in the field of project management.

How you expect the candidate to spend their day:

Responsibilities:
• Allocate projects to translators and proofreaders ensuring that rates and deadlines are negotiated in line with project requirements
• Quality check translations to ensure the final delivery to the client is fit for purpose
• Linguist liaison including sourcing for projects, negotiating rates and performance management
• Prepare linguist purchase orders in line with client requirements and company margin targets
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date project records
• Provide ad hoc Senior Project team assistance tasks including data collation and assessment, scanning and filing

This role will work under the supervision of a Senior Project Managers, and as such on-going training and mentoring will be provided in full-cycle project management including:

• Risk assessment and mitigation
• Cost planning
• Solution design
• Complaint management
• Translation memory management
• Client communication

The ideal candidate's personality and qualifications:

Requirements:
• A degree or similar qualification in Languages or Translation is essential
• Excellent attention to detail
• Quality and process oriented
• Strong organisational skills
• Experience in prioritising effectively
• Experience of multi-tasking
• Strong timekeeping and ability to meet deadlines
• High proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
• High proficiency in at least 1 more foreign language is preferred, but not essential
• Knowledge of CAT tools (ideally, MemoQ) is greatly preferred, but training will be provided
