Sava is a growing profitable business, comprising two enterprises:

•Sava Education – an education and information business that supports the UK residential surveying and valuation sector.

•Sava Technology – a software and data analytics business that provides tools and consultancy services to social housing providers to analyse zero carbon strategies.

We’re a team of 35, based in Milton Keynes and we’re now looking for an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join us on the technical side of the business.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an expertise in Artificial Intelligence techniques and training who is excited by the opportunity to apply this emerging technology to software products and provide our customers with new enhanced capabilities to assess, manage and improve the environmental impact of their housing stock and help ensure their residents are living in warm, affordable, energy efficient properties.

We really need you to have

This role is all about finding the right person for our business. We will need you to have:

•A master’s degree in an Artificial Intelligence field, or 2 years of relevant industry experience.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

Excellent written and spoken communication skills that allow you to communicate your ideas to others and respond in a positive manner to their feedback.

Comfortable speaking with customers and able to foster relationships with partners and external organisations.

What you’ll be doing

To begin, we have identified key areas within our products where we feel AI has the potential to extend or enhance the functionality we offer. You will be tasked with exploring and developing those ideas, working on proof of concepts and where appropriate building and refining AI models to integrate within the product portfolio.

As you learn more about our customers and the challenges they face, you will be expected use your knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to help the business identify other potential applications for these technologies relevant to our market.

You will work alongside the software development and data analysis team to develop, explore, and implement these ideas. You will also attend conferences and exhibitions and foster relationships with other technology organisations working in this field to build links between our product and other data providers with a view to providing a richer set of data for our models to work with.

Initial areas where you will be concentrating your research and development will include:

•More accurately inferring gaps in data sets held for properties.

•Performing scenario modelling across a large stock of houses.

•Adapting outputs of the system based on real world results.

•Bringing together a variety of data sources to enhance learning models.

•Investigating the use of real time monitoring data feeds.

Remuneration

The annual salary for this role will be between £30-40k based on the individual. Other aspects of remuneration and employment can be discussed at the interview.
