Job Description

Our quantity surveyors accurately predict the capital cost of asset investment programmes and projects. When joining the scheme you will be working with an award winning team of quantity surveyors, cost management consultants and cost engineers. Our teams work throughout the whole project life cycle; and predict the financial impacts that property or infrastructure assets have on a client’s business model –at a project’s inception, during delivery, on completion and throughout the assets’ life.


We work in variety of sectors including infrastructure, energy, education, healthcare, utilities, property and government.

 

As a graduate your role will be varied. You will be involved in the preparation of estimates and cost plans; valuations and financial statements. You will be responsible for creating monthly reports and standard documentation. You will help with preparing and analysing tender documentation. You will have exposure to contract reviews and settlement of construction.

To apply for this scheme you will have less than 12 months experience and have achieved, or are expected to achieve, a 2.2 or above in a quantity surveying or quantity surveying related degree.


You should be able to demonstrate your interest in project management through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules, or previous work experience.

We are looking for graduates with the following characteristics:

 

  1.  Methodical approach to problem solving
  2. Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
  3. Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
  4. Excellent written communication and attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate good report writing.
