Our graduate transport modellers help develop safe and efficient transport networks, which are key to creating a successful economy, and helping to build solutions for many global challenges, including climate change and population growth. We are working both in the UK and internationally to help create traffic models for new road, rail, and public transport services on behalf of local and national governments. We use the latest technology to carry out assessments, build transport models and undertake economic assessments.
Typical daily tasks could include:
• Processing traffic count data to provide inputs for a traffic model or data for environmental specialists
• Reviewing planning documents to extract inputs required for a traffic model
• Building or expanding existing traffic model networks
• Comparing different model outputs and drawing conclusions of the effectiveness of the options assessed
• Undertaking economic assessment of travel time savings, accident numbers or traffic management schemes
• Completing sections of reports describing the methodology adopted and results obtained

To apply for this scheme, you will have less than 12 months experience and have achieved, or are expected to achieve, a 2.1 or above in one of the following degree disciplines:
• Transport related degree
• Civil engineering
We are looking for graduates with the following characteristics:
• Methodical approach to problem solving
• Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail, and able to demonstrate good report writing.
• GIS skills would be useful but not essential
