VT Group plc delivers innovative solutions to Governments and Government agencies worldwide. We employ over 14,000 people around the world and generate an annual turnover in excess of £1billion. We operate in both the Defence and Civil Sectors.
VT delivers 21st century support ranging from careers guidance and education services to naval shipbuilding. This includes through life equipment support, training, critical communications and facilities management. VT draws on the extensive range of skills, expertise and experience from across the Group to provide bespoke solutions.
To continue this growth trend and build on the company’s proven track record, the VT vision for the future is: "To be Recognised as the Number One International Government Services Group."
VT will look to build on it’s existing reputation for quality, project management and customer service through focusing on three core values:
The overall aim of our scheme is to:
"Recruit, support and develop highly motivated and successful graduate trainees to be effective in the diversity of VT Group as dynamic leaders for the future."Our scheme is rotational which means you have the fantastic opportunity to do placements in a number of different companies within the Group, giving you a varied and challenging experience.
Placement length varies and every graduate's experience will be different.
But you can be sure that the placements will be real jobs that come with responsibility and a sense of achievement.
Most placements will take place at the head offices of each company although sometimes there may be opportunities in satellite offices located anywhere within the UK. You will need to be prepared to travel to any of these locations to undertake your role.
We don't recruit you into a specific role so we actively encourage all our graduates to get as much experience as possible across the diverse business network, to help you identify what future career you want to follow and which business you'd like to work in.
Each year the intake of new graduate employees are treated as one cohort and you will undertake a three day induction tour together before starting your placements. Within a few weeks of starting you will all attend a week long personal development week with a partner company which will help establish your strengths and developmental areas - as well as being a huge amount of fun!

I joined the VT Graduate Scheme because out of all the graduate schemes that I looked at, this was the best. The chance to experience different parts of the business and to work in a variety of roles seemed like the perfect way to move from a student life studying Law, to a professional life. The additional facility to continue my education and study for a Masters degree in Project Management and more, also cemented my desire to join VT.
