Name: Linsey Macintyre
Role: Retail Graduate
There were many things that appealed to me I applied for the Graduate Programme at Morrisons - the main one being the rapid growth of the Company over the last few years and the potential this brings for employees like myself. As a Graduate I am training to become a Senior Manager and with the excellent prospects the Company has to offer I do not think it will stop there.
The things that I tend to enjoy most in my current role is being in a fast pace retail environment not knowing what is round the corner. Everyday is full of variety and always offers a challenge giving me a real sense of achievement when a plan comes together. Morrisons Fast Track graduate scheme appealed to me as soon as I became aware of it. It is a well structured programme covering all aspects of the business. It allows you to gain hands on experience. Included in the programme are various training courses which are designed to develop my skills in order to help me become a competent Senior Manager.
Although I am personally responsible for completing the programme and getting the training I have support from the Senior team, Department Manager and the Training Department.
My advice to anyone who is thinking about applying for a place on the programme would be to be prepared to put in the effort - it can be hard work but the rewards you get from the role are excellent.
