The Company

About Heinz

The brands at Heinz are loved the world over. It means our customers are some of the most loyal there are. And we want to make sure it stays that way. Which is why we're always thinking of new ways to delight them. It's also why we're after bright minds like you.

You'll be part of a global business, but you'll always be treated as an individual. We'll expect you to perform, but your performance will always be recognised. And because you'll be working alongside some of our most senior managers, you can expect all the support you need to become a senior manager yourself sooner rather than later.

Our people come from all sorts of backgrounds, but they all share our passion for delivering great results. In short, if you're hungry to achieve lots and lots of great things, there's no better place to be than Heinz.

Training & Profiles

About our graduate scheme

When it comes to our graduate scheme, you'll quickly see that we have a very fresh approach. We say graduate scheme, but it's actually a lot more flexible than that. This is about helping you to find your feet quickly, and making sure that you can carve out a career path that's as individual as you are. And because we have no hard and fast rules, you'll be able to move onwards and upwards just as soon as you're ready.

You'll be doing a real job right from day one, so there'll be plenty of scope to stir things up from the outset. We'll expect you to throw plenty of ideas into the mix. And to take on your fair share of responsibility.

As well as a 2:2 or above, you'll need to bring plenty of self-motivation - we're not after people who want to be spoon fed. You always put customers first and you're a natural when it comes to communicating with all sorts of different people, at all sorts of levels. But most importantly of all, wherever you join us, you'll be 100% committed to delivering the results we need to achieve more and more success.

There'll be some great rewards open to you too. Your starting salary will be £25,000 with the chance to gain performance-related bonuses on top. You'll have a mentor from our senior management team, a personal development plan and all the training you need to get ahead. And with 27 days' holiday, there'll be plenty of time for you to unwind.

Our opportunities span four different areas - Finance, Sales, IT and Engineering.

About our placement programme

This is a chance to come into the world of Heinz for a whole year. You'll be doing a real, business-critical role which means you'll be able to build the kind of professional skills that will be invaluable to you both now - and into the future. What's more, by taking part in this programme, you'll give your chances of landing a place on our graduate scheme a boost too.

So what sort of person are we looking for? You could come from any number of different backgrounds but there are certain qualities that we look for in all of our people. You'll certainly need to be a fast learner. You'll also bring an enquiring mind, a passion for delivering results and the ability to communicate with all sorts of people, at all levels.

The rewards here are just as impressive as the opportunity itself. You'll get 27 days' holiday and a salary of £16,000 - you could even pick up a bonus on top. There'll be plenty of scope for you to go along to networking events and training courses. We'll even give you your own personal development plan and a business mentor.

With all this in mind, it's not surprising that the programme received a Highly Commended at the National Council for Work Experience Awards.

Right now, we have opportunities in Finance, Sales, Quality, HR, IT and R&D. So if you're looking to achieve bigger things, this is one opportunity you won't want to miss.
