After graduating from the University of Swansea with a degree in History, it was Foxtons' reputation as an exciting, dynamic and fast-growing company that first attracted me to apply.
I started working as a Move Consultant based at the Foxtons' Headquarters. This gave me an insight into the many different departments within the company and its wholly owned mortgage brokers, Alexander Hall.
As I became more interested in the financial aspect of the property market, I moved to a role in Alexander Hall, working in Client Services - the team in charge of managing the diaries and pre-qualifying appointments for advisers. It wasn't long before the department grew in size and I was promoted to Team Leader and, after smashing my quarterly targets, I made the ski trip to Engleberg which certainly lived up it its reputation for being great fun.
Once I had passed my exams, I joined the up and coming phone brokering department which provides mortgage advice to those based outside London.
After six months experience and learning about the market, I now spend my time between the City office and Foxtons Fulham office meeting a wide variety of clients, with the hope of becoming Associate Director in the not too distant future!
