Most ITMB graduates 'soon in work' - graduate jobs

Figures have shown that many people graduating from IT courses soon find work.

The e-skills UK research showed that more than three-quarters of Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB) students are in work half a year after graduation.

The remaining people had committed themselves to another academic course, according to the research.

The degree was designed by e-skills alongside firms such as BT and HP in a bid to develop rounded candidates for blue-chip firms.

Among the firms employing the graduates were Google, IBM, Microsoft and Shell.

Nicola Luke, graduate development manager at HP, said: "The best thing about the ITMB degree is that it's tailored specifically to our industry.

"It allows the graduate to showcase their technical capabilities as well as the business and interpersonal skills that are very much needed in the workplace from day one."
