Graduate jobs and recruitment are likely to be a high priority among the 18 new companies that set up at the Digital Hub in Dublin in 2011.
Last year's new additions mean there are now 70 firms based at the Thomas Street centre, according to the Digital Hub Development Agency's end-of-year report.
Digital media and technology graduates are among the 800-strong workforce employed by companies at the nine-acre site, which has an office occupancy rate of 95%.
Chief executive of the Digital Hub Development Agency, Philip Flynn, said that the popularity surge of new media and technology has driven a strong growth in digital media companies at site, with many established firms developing new products.
He said: "Many of the products and services offered by Digital Hub companies weren't even in existence five years ago. We have seen huge growth in the past year in companies that develop apps for smartphones and tablet computers, for example."
