A £20 million harbour redevelopment will see hundreds of job opportunities for graduates created in the north coast of Scotland.
The funding package has been put together by Clydesdale Bank to help the Scrabster Harbour Trust with the first part of its project to rejuvenate and modernise the fish market pier.
The work to the area, which is an important port for the Scottish fishing industry, began in August and is set to be finished in July.
Managing partner at the bank's financial solutions centre in Inverness, Hamish Boag, said 300 jobs are currently dependent on the Scrabster Harbour.
Mr Boag added: "The redevelopment of this vital part of north Scotland's infrastructure has the potential to deliver enormous economic benefits for the Caithness area and to make a major contribution to growth sectors such as renewables and oil and gas."
Independent research commissioned by the trust said revamping the harbour could create 300 to 400 new jobs.
