Graduates can apply for jobs to be created by online retailer Amazon at a new processing centre in Staffordshire.

The company is planning to launch a new processing hub in Rugeley, offering 900 positions.

The new centre will help Amazon to cater to the needs of its customers in the UK as well as other parts of the world. It will start processing orders from September this year.

Arthur Valdez, vice-president of operations at Amazon.co.uk, said: "The centre at Rugeley will play an important role in fulfilling orders for customers in the UK, Europe and all over the world.

"We have a busy Christmas coming up and look forward to assembling a team of talented people who will play their part in ensuring that customers receive the millions of items that will be ordered over the festive season."

Recently, the retailer announced plans to produce hundreds of jobs across Scotland.

Amazon intends to launch a one-million sq ft order fulfilment centre in Dunfermline later this year. The move will lead to the creation of 750 permanent and 1,500 temporary jobs.

There are also plans to open a new customer service centre in Edinburgh next month, producing a further 900 jobs.
