McLaren has issued a rallying call to engineering graduates, saying that finding the brightest and best is a key priority for the company.
Speaking at a Recruitment Society event in London, McLaren HR director Patrick Bermingham said the company had a two-pronged approach to the issue: finding the the crème de la crème of engineering talent and retaining that talent for future development.
"We want to find engineers of the future who are fully aligned with the values of the McLaren brand. We want not just the best, but the best fit," Bermingham said.
Carl Gilleard, chief executive of the Association of Graduate Recruiters, reflected the sentiments, saying: "Maintaining a talent pipeline is a priority for businesses. By firms not taking on graduates, there is a growing concern that companies are sitting on an attrition time-bomb."
