Tue 8th Sep 2009, 11:52AM about graduate-jobs.com news.
A specialist website has been set up to help creative graduates find work during the economic downturn.
University of Portsmouth graduate Matt O'Shea built digital-creatives.com as a place for employers to find the best up-and-coming digital creative talent after acknowledging how difficult in can be to break into the creative industries.
He said: "I was one of the lucky ones and got an internship within days of finishing my course and was then offered a fulltime job two months later, but I wanted to set the website up to help others who are still hunting for work.
"The creative industries are extremely difficult to get into, and I noticed that it was harder than it needed to be finding graduates and students who were producing creative content.
"The idea is to showcase the best in up-and-coming digital creative talent while also having input from top digital media creatives in the industry. Hopefully it will help them win the attention of the right people and get them job interviews.'
Mr O'Shea, who graduated with a 2:1 in Business Studies this summer, said all those featured on the site can be contacted direct by potential employers.
