A £2,000 salary top-up is being offered to graduates who join a Scottish travel agency and stay for at least three months.
Said Barrhead Travel founder Bill Munro: "The newspapers are full of stories about how graduates in Scotland can't find work.
"We want to attract graduate-calibre people into our business, and believe we can offer a career with a real future."
He is working with development agency Scottish Enterprise to target graduates still struggling to find work in the recession.
The initiative is similar to a recent Trailfinders recruitment drive, and says Mr Munro: "Knowledge of travel is an obvious benefit.
"But we also recognise the advantages of bringing in educated people to the business." Barrhead Travel has 11 branches in Scotland and will open two more, in Aberdeen and Inverness, next year.
Mr Munro said he has no time for a recent Scottish radio claim because graduates are so "full of their own importance" that they make difficult employees.
