The College of Law has unveiled plans for a new branch in Bristol aimed at providing first-class postgraduate law training for the entire South West region.

The new establishment will be the College's eighth in the UK and will aim to follow in the footsteps of their successful new venture in Manchester.

Nigel Savage, Chief Executive of the College, said: "The centre will deliver the same standards of excellence for which the College is internationally renowned and is in response to growing demand in the region for world-class learning and development in the legal services sector."

Mr Savage said that the college had wanted to open facilities in Bristol for some time to accommodate the needs of local firms and students alike.

Michael Bothamley, senior partner at Beachcroft LLP, said the branch would be a "great addition to the existing postgraduate training facilities in the city and the region."
