The Role:
The successful candidate will play an integral role in creating compelling tenders and proposals, executing fundraising strategies, researching new business development opportunities and fostering relationships with key partners. You will join an established, welcoming team and will benefit from a supportive working environment. The role will involve:
· Research and analyse business opportunities.
· Make presentations and put together papers on opportunities for key internal and external decision makers.
· Write and edit bids, proposals, expressions of interest and pre -qualification questionnaires to secure new business. Complete tender and bid documents to deadline ensuring that they are of a consistent high quality.
· Work with colleagues and partners to develop persuasive proposals and to progress these successfully. Work with our Finance Department to ensure the cost effectiveness of proposals.
· Help establish and maintain key relationships.
· Maintain our database. Monitor and report on progress towards achieving planned growth targets outlined in our Business Plan.
· Help secure funding for creative business ideas.
· Undertake other duties appropriate to the post under the direction of the head of Career Management and Development.
We're Looking For:
Degree or equivalent qualification.
The ability to assimilate and process information quickly. Confident about presenting information in a variety of formats.
Excellent written skills with an interest in developing them to produce high quality, successful proposals.
Good IT skills to produce high quality documents - proven competence in Word, Excel and familiarity with using databases.
Sufficient numeracy to understand the implications of project budgets and to develop skills to draft budgets and assess financial risks.
An ability and willingness to work flexible, non-standard hours, under pressure, to meet tight deadlines.
Very good interpersonal and networking skills. The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and autonomously.
Evidence of analytical skills coupled with creativity to develop solutions.
