The Company

Our client is a successful financial services company, based in Leicester. Now a PLC, the company was established in 1991, and has grown rapidly organically and through acquisition to its current 150 staff. Much of the organisation’s success is down to the graduate recruitment programme, with an enviable retention record and internal promotion culture, with the vast majority of senior managers, account managers and consultants originally joining through this scheme.

Although specialising in the pensions sector, this is no provider of “off the shelf” retirement funds! Our client advise on wealth management, covering a wide range of issues such as tax free investment planning, family succession and business guidance, with clients ranging from dynamic entrepreneurs to company directors.

The Graduate Recruitment Scheme

From day one you will be part of a larger training team where you will be guided by a dedicated training manager to become a skilled Account Manager. You will cover all aspects of the day to day running of the bespoke pension products, as well as technical legislation and investment opportunities. After a period of time, you will begin to build your own client portfolio, joining an experienced account management team. The scheme includes studying for the Certificate in Finance Planning, as well as encouraging gaining further professional qualifications. From there, a wide range of careers within the organisation are available, depending on your particular strengths and interests.

About You

You’ll be naturally dedicated, ambitious, a good communicator with an eye for detail. Historically, graduates have tended to come from disciplines such as Economics, Business Studies, Law, Finance / Mathematics, and even English. Whatever your background, you must be able to demonstrate your ability to achieve, either through your academic or work based experience.
