Global Product Development Co-ordinator
Our client is a market leader in self-adhesive products and their products are used in virtually every major market and industry.
Overview:
Take full responsibility for the internal Management of retailer accounts. Oversee and coordinate all internal work and projects relating to retailer accounts, including artwork development and amendments, estimates, material sourcing, production considerations and stock and live orders.
Specific Duties:
- Take new briefs from Account Managers/Retail Contacts and develop and maintain project development files in accordance. Update Account Manager with regular progress reports.
- Organise and lead initial project review meeting at the start of each programme, and follow up meetings as required throughout the project.
- Develop a critical path for each new programme, with deadlines for each element and completion dates.
- Maintain all departmental records relating to retail accounts ensuring at all times that all information is up do date and accessible.
- Maintain constant line of communication with Retail Contacts regarding current projects.
- Assist all internal colleagues with queries relating to retailer accounts.
- Accompany the Account Manager on retailer visits when appropriate. Perform retailer visits to take development briefs when required.
- Perform regular store visits in order to maintain a high level knowledge of retailer’s products and make recommendations to the Account Manager where relevant.
- Analyse sales figures/trends relating to retail accounts and discuss with Account Manager on a regular basis. Maintain an overview of how your development projects have impacted on the business as a whole.
- Participate in regular conference calls to your offshore contacts in the global GPD team regarding current projects and any other issues. Maintain overview of the progression of your development projects at manufacturing sites.
Skills/Experience Required:
· Good communication skills
· Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
· Project management experience/skills
· Experience of handling high profile customer accounts
· Confidence in making decisions that will benefit the business and the customer.
· A flexible attitude to work and working hours.
Initially temporary with the view to become permanent.
