ALDI IS TOP TEN CHOICE FOR GRADUATES
Aldi has achieved a top ten position in the 2008 Times Top 100 Graduate
Employer Survey, after climbing to 8th position, its highest ranking yet.
Rising another place since last year, Aldi is ahead of all major retail
competitors, coming in just after the BBC and two positions higher than Goldman
Sachs.
For the sixth consecutive year, Aldi has been ranked within the top 25 graduate
employers, has been in the top ten for two years running and is the first
retailer to achieve top ten ranking since 1999.
In 2009, an extra 50% of graduates will be recruited for the highly desirable
university leaver’s package offering a starting salary of £40,000 rising to
£57,750, making it the top earning graduate scheme in the country.
Dan Ronald, Regional Managing Director for Aldi said: "We are delighted to
have achieved this position. It really reflects the ongoing dedication of our
enthusiastic and hard working trainers and the continual motivation of the
graduates and their positive approach to the scheme."
"Aldi’s management philosophy and delegation really are key to the business’
success. We offer graduates rewards well above the average. Our expectations may
be high but so is the level of job satisfaction."
Graduates receive comprehensive training for the role of Area Manager, covering
all aspects of retail management, from store operations through to financial
administration, logistics and property management. The programme promotes the
development of leadership skills, commercial awareness, technical and managerial
skills whilst providing a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business
efficiency.
Aldi offers a market leading package in return for a demanding area
management-training role. Its unrivalled graduate offer includes a £40,000
starting salary, rising to £57,750 after three years, an Audi A4, pension, 25
days holiday, life assurance and health insurance.
Aldi is looking to recruit 150 graduates this year who enjoy making decisions
and take real satisfaction from achieving results. |
