The ITV broadcaster for northern and central Scotland is offering graduates the chance to compete for two paid work placements with the firm.
Fourth-year undergraduate students from Broadcast Journalism Training Council-accredited journalism courses at Glasgow Caledonian University and Edinburgh Napier University, as well as postgraduate journalism students at Robert Gordon University and postgraduates from Caledonian's new MA Multimedia Journalism course can apply for a placement on STV's news team.
The other placement in the company's content department will be vied for by fourth-year students studying degrees in Broadcast Production and Filmmaking & Screenwriting at the University of the West of Scotland.
A spokesman for STV said: "During the placements, the graduates will work as integral parts of STV's highly-skilled content and news teams, gaining hands-on experience in production, development, ideas pitching, news gathering and planning."
Once hopeful students receive an invitation to apply through their universities, they face a practical creative competition to decide who will be selected.
